The students are not only studying Vietnamese and Buddhism hard, but they also make a great effort to participate in major Buddhist and cultural events held at the temple and in the community. Their participation has helped them to get exposed to and learn more about Vietnamese traditions and culture.

Every year, the students participate in the Lunar New Year Event held at St. Petersburg Coliseum.

The students offered flowers to Buddha and sang at the Parents Day in 2008.

At the Moon Festival in 2008 there were carnival games, clown, food fest, music, dragon dance, kungfu demonstration to keep the youngs and the young at heart entertained. During this event, each child also received a lantern and a bag of candies.
